Students are required to purchase their own textbooks, notebooks, lab coats, stethoscopes, nerve stimulators, precordial stethoscope ear pieces, and other such items. In addition to UNCG graduate school tuition, students are also responsible for providing their own health insurance. A student health policy is available through UNCG. Liability insurance coverage for clinical experience as a nurse anesthesia student is provided by RSNA.

RSNA students participate in a airway sequencing lab.

In state total cost for the 24 month program is approximately $28,500. Out of state total cost for the 24 month program is approximately $52,000. UNCG determines the difference in tuition between in state and out of state. Please contact the graduate school at UNCG for these definitions.

Students must provide their own living accomodations within a reasonable driving distance of the metropolitan Raleigh area. The cost of meals and transportation to clinical sites, including UNCG is the responsibility of the student.

In the operating room, students are requied to wear scrub suits. These will be furnished by the individual clinical site. Long white lab coats are worn over scrub clothes when leaving the operating room for meals, conferences or patient rounds.

Associate memebership in the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists is strongly encouraged. The fee is $100 for the two-year educational period. Membership in other professional nursing organizations is highly recommeneded.
